1. CLOSET

Com o sentido de “armário de roupas" 

E.g. “Don’t leave your clothes scattered on the bed. Hang them in the closet”.
 “Não deixe suas roupas espalhadas pela cama. Pendure-as no armário”.

2. LOCKER

Com o sentido de “tipo de armário normalmente encontrado em vestiários, estações de trem, aeroportos etc.”:  

E.g. “Let’s get a locker and leave our stuff here while we do some sightseeing”, Jeff told his friends as they got off the train at Penn Station.
“Vamos pegar um armário e deixar nossas coisas aqui enquanto damos um giro”, Jeff disse aos amigos quando desceram do trem na estação Pennsylvania.

Locker room significa “vestiário”.

3. CUPBOARDS

Com o sentido de “armário de cozinha”:  

E.g. “The cups are in the cupboard beside the refrigerator”
“As xícaras estão no armário ao lado da geladeira”,


Wardrobe tem o significado específico de “armário para guardar roupas; guarda-roupa”.

Expressions

To grab a bite to eat - to have a quick snack 

( pegar alguma coisa para comer / pegar alguma "coisinha" para matar a fome / pegar alguma coisa para enganar o estômago).

E.g. 

            A: Are we going to leave soon?
              B: Just let me grab a bite to eat.



No rush - there´s no need to rush.

( sem pressa)

E.g. 

A: Are we going to leave now?
B: Just let me grab a bite to eat.

B: No rush. 

 

Contractions 

Let me = lemme  (deixe-me)

E.g. Just lemme grab a bite to eat .
 

Going to = gonna. 

E.g. Are we gonna leave soon?




Just - Jus´ ( the letter "t" is dropped).

E.g. Jus´ lemme grab a bite to eat.  

In American spoken English, the auxiliary verbs are often dropped.

E.g. We gonna leave soon? 
                 and not

       Are we gonna leave soon?


      You live here?
         and not


     Do you live here?

Remember that these contractions are used in Informal Spoken English and not in written form.
